Dovie Crouse is a Director at FMG Leading, a team of advisors that partners with leaders on a mission to make the healthcare system work, better. She is a global executive with extensive experience in organizational transformation and preparing teams to execute complex, multimillion-dollar projects. Dovie brings a strong record of achievement in startup operations leadership and scaling businesses to her role. She has a proven ability to guide international companies through ambitious growth while leading with empathy and creating top-performing and values-aligned cultures at all levels of the organization.

Dovie’s client’s additionally benefit from her ability to help leaders and teams maximize their potential. She helps clients synthesize data and observations to find connections and deeper insights, resulting in solutions that address the root cause business problems to accelerate performance and growth. Mergers and Acquisitions deal teams have relied upon Dovie for insights in pre-transaction cultural due diligence to underpin successful integration planning at all organizational levels. Notable experiences involve leadership alignment and coordination across operations in Calgary, London, Stavanger (Norway) and Houston to achieve ambitious strategic objectives and operational transformation.

Dovie works with clients across the healthcare system, including hospital systems, health care services, and several investor-backed organizations. Dovie’s client list includes OB Hospitalist Group, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Seattle Children’s Hospital, Mass General Brigham, Altos Ventures, Syllable AI, RevHealth, HuFriedy, Dispatch Health, Community Based Care, Quartet Health, Southern Veterinary Partners, Synapse Health, and many others.

Prior to joining FMG Leading, Dovie was a founding leader at Arion Blue, a Houston based multi-discipline service provider for the energy industry. She worked side-by-side with the CEO and COO from Day 1 of business planning through launching the company in April 2018 and successfully navigating the challenges of the pandemic as a young business. In her role as Vice President, Corporate Services at Arion, Dovie built the back office from the ground up, including the marketing, IT, HR and administration functions to put start-up operations in place, enabling rapid growth of the organization.

She also served as Department Manager, Organizational Effectiveness at Wood Group, a 38,000-person Oil & Gas company, where she built the organizational change management (OCM) department from the proposal stage to senior leadership to business plan development to infrastructure set-up. As Wood Group implemented a global change management team, Dovie was appointed team leader of the western hemisphere. She also held various senior leadership roles within the Wood Group throughout her tenure.

Dovie has developed a unique global perspective from years lived abroad in France and England, as well as her extensive international work in Canada, Norway and Malaysia.

In addition to her work with FMG Leading, Dovie is a guest lecturer at the University of Houston. She has non-profit board experience, and is also affiliated with 50/50 Women on Boards, the leading global education and advocacy campaign driving the movement toward gender balance and diversity on corporate boards.

Dovie also enjoys participating in FMG Leading’s philanthropic in-kind giving through FMG Gives. Through FMG Gives, Dovie has provided consulting and advisory services to Heroes and Horses and One World Surgery.

Dovie holds a Master of Science in Organizational Development and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Houston. She is also a Prosci ® Certified Change Practitioner.

PERSONAL

Dovie lives in the Seattle area with her husband and two scruffy dogs. When not working, she enjoys hiking the many trails around the Cascade and Olympic mountains. She and her husband enjoy traveling to new places, anchoring trips across the U.S. and abroad around live music or hiking adventures.
