Dr. Mark Gasta joins FMG Leading as Principal, Tourism and Hospitality
Former Vail Resorts executive to lead new hospitality vertical
San Diego, CA – November 10, 2016 – FMG Leading today announced that Dr. Mark Gasta, former Executive Vice President of Vail Resorts, will join the firm as Principal, Tourism and Hospitality, leading a dedicated practice focused on helping senior hospitality executives leverage human capital strategy to produce industry-leading results.
Dr. Gasta joined Vail Resorts in January 2008 as a senior vice president and chief human resources officer. During his time with Vail Resorts, the company was honored as one of the top employers in the country by Forbes magazine and as one of the Top 50 Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company. Dr. Gasta has also been nominated for a Lifetime Achievement award by HRO Today, a leading industry organization for Human Resource professionals.
Prior to Vail Resorts, Dr. Gasta held human resources management positions for Comcast Communications, AT&T Broadband, Lexis-Nexis and Target Corporation. He also served in the U.S. Army as a commissioned officer and aviator. Dr. Gasta is also a faculty member of the Colorado State University Department of Human Dimensions of Natural Resources, where he teaches in the Master of Tourism Management program.
