Through his unique background and expertise, Mitch excels at helping executive leaders thrive by managing essential habits and skills, such as the ability to compartmentalize personal and business issues, manage priorities, and overcome fear in performance, productivity and presence.

Mitch earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Insurance from the University of Rhode Island, and his Masters in Divinity from the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts.

EXPERIENCE

Mitch is a Principal at FMG Leading, a group of coaches, researchers and educators that help senior executives measure and maximize the performance impact of their human capital. A seasoned and motivating leader, executive coach, and speaker with over 25 years of experience, Mitch’s expertise lies in his ability to successfully guide executives through times of upheaval and transformative change. Mitch brings a unique and diverse background to his role at FMG Leading. He began his professional career as a financial planner with MetLife, where he was recognized as his region’s top performer. After MetLife, Mitch followed a different path, serving as an apprentice for six years in two churches, before founding “New England Chapel” outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Over two decades, Mitch guided the organization from a small startup team with a dream, to becoming a community of over 1,000 people, supported by 350 volunteers. NEC is not only impacting its region as a relevant and practical place for transformation, but also partners with like-minded organizations and agencies all over the globe. Along the way, Mitch gained the necessary leadership experience, insight, and valuable lessons on guiding teams, breaking through plateaus, and creating values-based organizational growth. Mitch’s coaching philosophy brings a holistic approach to leader development. He focuses on the tension and gaps in leadership, while engaging the individual as a complete and integrated system. ADDITIONAL PRACTICE AREAS

Mitch sits on the board of Global Health Inter-Action (GHIA), an organization that is based in the USA but works primarily in Kenya. Their mission is to build a holistic maternity ward for mothers and babies in Busia, Kenya. PUBLICATIONS Mitch is the author of “A Place for Skeptics”, published in 2006. In it, readers are introduced to a daily faith experience in a simple but profound way that is connected to the classic Christian tradition.

ACADEMIC AFFILIATION

Mitch also serves as a faculty member at Boston College, where he heads the “Leader as Coach” Executive Certification Program.

PERSONAL

Mitch lives with his wife in Wells, Maine. They have 3 adult children. Mitch credits his adopted son for having a profound effect on his ability to impact and change people’s lives. Beyond enjoying a recently emptied nest, he enjoys travelling, off-road roaming in his Jeep, and his dog Fenway.
