Addam brings to FMG Leading over 20 years of experience successfully managing organizational operations, leadership development, and event coordination processes.

Addam’s work with FMG Leading has focused on large-scale organizational change, team development, and organizational culture change. As a consultant, he has been involved with strategic planning, executive coaching, corporate communications, leadership training. He has led workshops on change management, communication skills, and leadership development, as well as several team learning experiences.

Previously, Addam worked at DreamWorks Animation serving in Human Resources, where he managed special projects and communications. There, he planned and executed various special events and programs for the renowned animation film production company.

Addam earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Davidson College, with a concentration in International Development, and a Master of Science in Organization Development from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management.

Addam Marcotte is Principal and General Manager at FMG Leading, a group of advisors and coaches that create value at the intersection of strategy and human capital performance. Addam has over 20 years of experience successfully managing organizational operations and leadership development. Addam’s work with FMG Leading has focused on large-scale organizational change, team development, and organizational culture change. As a consultant, he has been involved with strategic planning, executive coaching, corporate communications, leadership training. He has led workshops on change management, communication skills, and leadership development, as well as several team learning experiences. Addam has extensive experience with psychometric tools and guiding clients to deeper levels of self-awareness and personal “brand” building. As a coach, Addam works with enterprise-wide leaders to develop fundamental leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness. Addam’s work with leadership teams focuses primarily on improving communications, effectively managing change, creating team vision/mission, and resolving interpersonal dynamics.

Previously, Addam worked at DreamWorks Animation serving in Human Resources, where he managed internal studio special projects and communications. There, he planned and executed various special events and programs for the renowned animation film production company. As part of DreamWorks Animation’s IPO transition team, Addam worked with all levels of the company preparing for the shift into the public marketplace. Additionally, he worked with animation teams as a project manager for several animated theatrical feature films. Addam also served as Manager for the UCLA Events Office. At UCLA, he created multi-departmental change strategies and scenario planning processes, as well as general project management responsibilities. He organized and facilitated departmental leadership retreats focused on leadership development and team effectiveness.

Addam has worked with clients such as: Alliance HealthCare Services, Surgical Care Affiliates, Hackensack University Medical Center, DaVita Clinical Research, Florida Gulf to Bay Anesthesiology, LA Orthopedic Research Hospital, The United Nations Information Service (ESCAP), Sound Physicians, The Los Angeles Times, Foundation Fighting Blindness, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Los Angeles, UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, UCLA Women’s Softball, UCLA Gymnastics, and many Los Angeles-based film studios.

ADDITIONAL PRACTICE AREAS

Addam has a unique global perspective from years lived and studied abroad. An avid traveler, he brings a diverse and creative set of problem-solving and leadership skills to complex challenges. In recent years, Addam has presented at national conferences and was recently recognized for Presentation of the Year on “Planning for Organizational Change and Creating Authentic Work Environments.” He is a published author for his Masters research in employee engagement. Outside of his professional life, Addam is a devoted photographer, skier, and SCUBA diver. A four-year collegiate athlete, Addam captained his NCAA Division 1 track and field team in North Carolina.

ACADEMIC AFFILIATION

Addam earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Davidson College, with a concentration in International Development. He earned his Master of Science in Organization Development from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management. Additionally, Addam has studied at the University of New South Wales, Australia, and the University of Guadalajara, Mexico through programs affiliated with Georgetown University and Davidson College, respectively. He is also a National Honor Society graduate of the International School, Bangkok, Thailand.
