Noah brings over 35 years of experience as the founder and CEO of six path-breaking ventures, perhaps most notably the Noah’s New York Bagels chain which was acquired by Nasdaq-listed Einstein Bros. Bagels (where he became Vice-Chairman) in 1996 for $100 million.

Noah specializes in advising family-owned businesses in transition. In addition, he coaches both early phase entrepreneurs and senior executives in the twilight of their careers who are transitioning into their new lives as active retirees.

Noah holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin, and a certificate from the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem. He is a guest lecturer and student advisor at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and the University of California.

EXPERIENCE

Noah is an Executive Coach and Strategic Advisor with FMG Leading, a team of advisors and coaches who help clients build world-class organizations at the intersection of business strategy and human capital performance.

Noah brings over 35 years of experience as the founder and CEO of six path-breaking ventures, starting with the mega-successful Bread and Circus Natural Foods chain in New England, acquired by Whole Foods Market; and notably the Noah’s New York Bagels chain which was acquired by Nasdaq-listed Einstein Bros. Bagels (where he became Vice-Chairman) in 1996 for $100 million.

Noah currently specializes in advising family-owned businesses in transition. In addition, he coaches both early phase entrepreneurs and senior executives in the twilight of their careers who are transitioning into their new lives as active retirees.

Noah has coached and consulted with over 100 businesses and individuals. His client list includes The Oakville Grocery, California’s oldest continually operating food establishment; and Los Angeles based Jeff’s Gourmet Sausages with a location at Dodger Stadium.

PUBLICATIONS AND SPEAKING

Noah is the author of Business Mensch, Timeless Wisdom for Today’s Entrepreneur, and is a motivational speaker to various organizations and businesses from a wide range of industries.

ADDITIONAL PRACTICE AREAS AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Noah is a volunteer at Congregation Beth Israel in Berkeley, JCHS (the high school he helped to found), and Pacific Community Ventures, an advisory organization to small businesses. He was the founding President of the Jewish Community High School of the Bay (JCHS), San Francisco, currently in its 18th year. Noah also volunteers with two prisoner visitation organizations: the Aleph Institute, and the L.A. project at San Quentin Prison.

PERSONAL

Noah lives in Berkeley, CA, and enjoys sharing his experience and insights with others. He is an avid bicycler, and also enjoys hiking, swimming, and travel with his wife Hope and their three sons and 2 granddaughters.
