Maegan brings over fifteen years of experience in organization development, building infrastructure, and increasing organizational capacity for sustainable change.

Skilled in data-driven organizational assessment, she and has a strong track record of monitoring financial health and bringing mission and sustainability into alignment. Prior to FMG Leading, Maegan was a program officer at the Meyer Foundation, where she specialized in organizational effectiveness and managed the Foundation’s capacity-building portfolio of grants. She also served as a program officer for the Children and Family Capacity-Building Initiative, which provided support to a targeted group of former Freddie Mac Foundation grantees.

Maegan holds a bachelor's degree from American University, and a master's degree in organization development through the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University.

EXPERIENCE

Maegan is a Consultant at FMG Leading, a group of advisors and educators that accelerate organizational transformation through world-class human capital strategy. A facilitative and collaborative leader who connects systems change with individual growth, she brings over fifteen years of experience in organization development, building infrastructure, and increasing organizational capacity for sustainable change. Maegan is skilled in datadriven organizational assessment, and has a strong track record of monitoring financial health and bringing mission and sustainability into alignment. Prior to FMG Leading, Maegan was a program officer at the Meyer Foundation, where she specialized in organizational effectiveness and managed the Foundation’s capacity-building portfolio of grants. She also served as a program officer for the $6 million Children and Family Capacity-Building Initiative, which provided support to a targeted group of former Freddie Mac Foundation grantees. Maegan’s grants portfolio has included organizations in the fields of education, workforce development, and affordable housing.

Earlier in her career, Maegan worked for the Center for Understanding Equity, an education consulting firm dedicated to advancing racial equity and closing the achievement gap in public school systems across the country. An avid volunteer throughout her community and abroad, Maegan has more than a decade of experience working with nonprofit organizations and NGOs. She currently chairs the Art Enables board of directors, and has previously served on the YNPNdc board of directors and the Washington AIDS Partnership steering committee.

Maegan also brings a passion for international development, having worked in the Andes and the Amazon in Ecuador championing indigenous and environmental rights.

PERSONAL

Originally from Boston, Maegan currently resides in Washington, DC with her husband and their cat. When she’s not working, Maegan enjoys painting various portraits of owls, reading science-fiction, hiking, and diligently updating her journal.
