Jeff is passionate about helping people re-discover their potential as individuals, leaders and teams. His clients benefit from his 25+ years of expertise in strategic change management, leadership meeting design and facilitation, and team development program delivery.

Prior to FMG Leading, Jeff served as Vice President of Talent Management for Vail Resorts. His responsibilities include succession planning, leadership development, change management and culture development. Before joining Vail, Jeff was the Chief Human Resources Officer of Healthways, a well-being company based in Nashville, TN.

Jeff received his undergraduate degree in psychology from Eastern Illinois University and his Master’s in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

EXPERIENCE

Jeff Klem is a Senior Consultant at FMG Leading, a team of advisors and coaches who build world-class organizations at the intersection of enterprise strategy and human capital performance. Prior to FMG Leading, Jeff served as Vice President of Talent Management for Vail Resorts. His responsibilities include succession planning, leadership development, change management and culture development. He helped align and develop leadership competencies with the company’s broader goals to measurably improve results, boost engagement, and drive a performance culture. While at Vail, Jeff was also instrumental in the cultural integration of 8 acquisitions over the course of 6 years.

Prior to joining Vail Resorts in August of 2012, Jeff was the Chief Human Resources Officer of Healthways, a well-being company based in Nashville, TN. In addition to typical HR responsibilities, Jeff led a cross-functional group responsible for improving the well-being of Healthways colleagues through new and innovative methods.

This first half of Jeff’s career was spent as a consultant. He worked for 14 years as an organizational development consultant with Accenture, Aon Consulting and his own small firm, Inclusive, Inc. As a consultant, Jeff focused on supporting leaders through restructure, mergers and acquisitions, new executive integration, developing personal leadership competencies, and overall creation of people and culture strategies. Jeff’s clients benefit from his 25+ years of expertise in strategic change management, leadership meeting design and facilitation, and team development program delivery.

Jeff received his undergraduate degree in psychology from Eastern Illinois University and his Master’s in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He previously served as a board member of the Academy of Management’s Organization Change Division.

PERSONAL

After a career of working and living around the world, Jeff has settled with his wife and their two children in Golden, Colorado. When not traveling, he enjoys skiing, cycling, and trail running.
