As Founder and Chairman Emeritus of FMG Leading, Dr. Foster Mobley advises a highly selective client portfolio, focusing his work where leadership alignment, enterprise performance, and human impact matter most. Dr. Mobley created the Wisdom Leading™ model, a practical approach to leadership that helps executives bring clarity, presence, and disciplined action to the moments that shape organizational outcomes. His work has supported C-level leaders and organizations across business, healthcare, government, and education, with a focus on large-scale change, transformational leadership, and the human capital required to execute with confidence.
Beyond his work with executive teams, Dr. Mobley has advised elite collegiate athletic coaches and teams on team chemistry, mindfulness, and full performance. His contributions have supported teams and coaches that have won national team championships, national Coach of the Year awards, and numerous conference championships.
Dr. Mobley is also a sought-after keynote speaker and the author of Leadersh!t: Rethinking the True Path to Great Leading, an award-winning book that challenges conventional thinking about leadership. His published work includes contributions to Harvard Business Review and other business publications, with topics spanning executive fear, physician leadership development, mindful leading, and breakthrough performance.
Dr. Mobley is a sought-after keynote speaker, offering his unique insights on mindful leading and breakthrough performance. His award-winning book, “Leadersh*t: Rethinking the True Path to Great Leading” is a contrarian view of conventional thinking about leadership, receiving two national book awards. Dr. Mobley is a recognized thought leader and contributor to leading business publications like Harvard Business Review, with articles on executive fear and physician leader development among his published work.
Dr. Mobley received his Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA, Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management, and his Doctor of Education in Organizational Change (Ed.D.) degree from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology.
Dr. Mobley has served in an Adjunct Professor of Leadership role at Boston College Woods College of Advancing Studies and Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business and Management. He has also guest lectured at various schools including Antioch University, University of San Diego, Pepperdine University’s Master’s Program in Organization Development (MSOD), and Pepperdine’s Doctoral Program in Organizational Leadership. In addition, Dr. Mobley currently serves Vice Chair of One Montana, a not-for-profit organization committed to help create greater resiliency and sustainability in both rural and urban areas in Montana.
