Dr. Mobley’s client work focuses on the highest levels of business, government and elite collegiate athletics. Dr. Mobley is also a recognized thought leader and frequent contributor to leading business publications like Harvard Business Review. Dr. Mobley received his Bachelor of Arts from UCLA, and his MBA and Doctor of Education in Organization Change (Ed.D.) degrees from Pepperdine University.

As founder and Chairman of FMG Leading, Dr. Mobley has advised hundreds of companies on large scale change and transformational leading to enhance their human capital and competitiveness. He works with executive leaders at the highest levels of business, government and elite collegiate athletics. Dr. Mobley’s practice includes some of the most respected business organizations in the world, such as Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Citicorp, DaVita, Deloitte, Disney, Nokia, Turner Broadcasting and United Technologies.
In addition to his work with business organizations, Dr. Mobley enjoys more than 20 years of success advising elite-level collegiate athletic teams and coaches on achieving team chemistry, mindfulness and full performance. His contributions have helped his coaches and teams win four national team championships and five national Coach of the Year awards.
AREAS OF CURRENT RESEARCH
Dr. Mobley’s current research looks into the relationship between high performing teams and emotional intelligence. His thesis is that certain dimensions of emotional intelligence (i.e. presence, self-awareness and social awareness) are linked both to high performing teams and their ability to influence business objectives.

EDUCATION AND ACADEMIC AFFILIATIONS
Dr. Mobley received his Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA, Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Pepperdine University’s Gradziadio School of Business and Management, and his Doctor of Education in Organizational Change (Ed.D.) degree from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology. His doctoral thesis, titled “Training Leadership Teams to Impact Performance Outcomes: An Exploratory Case Study,” studies the relationship between training, teamwork, and high performance among leadership teams. Dr. Mobley currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Leadership at Boston College Woods College of Advancing Studies. He has served on the adjunct faculty for Pepperdine’s Gradziadio School of Business and Management, and has guest lectured at various schools including: Antioch University, the University of San Diego, Pepperdine University’s Master’s Program in Organization Development (MSOD), and Pepperdine’s Doctoral Program in Organizational Leadership.
Dr. Mobley happily resides in Bozeman, Montana with his wife, Cathy, and is a proud father and grandfather. An avid gardener and cook, Foster also enjoys many outdoor sports, including hiking, skiing, fly fishing and kayaking.
