Dan Doty

Senior Consultant

Dan Doty is an executive coach and experiential retreat facilitator with roots in the great outdoors. He works with executives and senior leaders across a range of industries to increase performance and fulfillment by developing a relaxed confidence and increased ability to connect deeply with others.

Dan is also the co-founder of Evryman, a company that brings men together to exercise their emotions so they can lead more successful, fulfilling lives. His previous work includes producing and directing outdoor-based tv and film, teaching in a public high school in the Bronx, and spending 600 days in the wild as a wilderness therapy guide for disadvantaged and at-risk young men. Dan has appeared on the Today Show, has been a guest on the acclaimed Joe Rogan podcast, and has been featured twice in Men’s Health magazine.

Dan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and English from the University of Minnesota - Duluth, and his Master’s degree in English Education from Pace University.

EXPERIENCE

Dan Doty is a Senior Consultant with FMG Leading, an advisory firm that creates client value at the intersection of strategy and human capital performance. He is an experienced executive coach and experiential retreat facilitator with roots in the great outdoors. Dan works with executives and senior leaders across a range of industries to increase performance and fulfillment by developing a relaxed confidence and increased ability to connect deeply with others. Dan is passionate about helping leaders experience their own strength, truth, and purpose.

Dan’s career has taken a diverse and winding path. He previously served as a wilderness therapy guide for disadvantaged and at-risk young men, spending over 600 days in the wild while learning what it means to be a mentor and a man in today’s world. He later moved to the Bronx where he took a job as a public high-school teacher while earning his Master’s degree. Following this, Dan moved to Montana where he launched a new career producing, shooting, and directing outdoor-based tv and film. Dan was a key team member on the hit show “MeatEater”, on which he produced, directed, shot and eventually executive produced a total of 60 episodes.

Dan has appeared on the Today Show, has been a guest on the acclaimed Joe Rogan podcast, and has been featured twice in Men’s Health magazine.

Dan is also the co-founder of Evryman, a company that brings men together to exercise their emotions so they can lead more successful, fulfilling lives. Evryman invests its profits directly into operational costs, programming, and the technology required to better inspire and improve the lives of men, the communities they participate in, and humanity at large.

Dan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and English from the University of Minnesota - Duluth, and his Master’s degree in English Education from Pace University.

PERSONAL

Dan currently resides in Southern California with his wife and their two sons. When not working, he enjoys yoga, meditation, writing, hunting, and travel adventures.
